Kate Messner

Kate Messner is a Renaissance woman. She does it all: teaches middle school English (National Board Certified), writes middle grade fiction (The Brilliant Fall of Gianna Z.), wins awards (2010 E.B. White Read Aloud Award), writes pitch-perfect chapter books (Marty McGuire), and NOW she's written a book for educators and students (Real Revision). Wowsers!

Real Revision

Real Revision will be published on May 30, 2011.

Marty McGuire was released earlier this month and seventeen of my students have already read it. Buy Marty for the third, fourth, and fifth graders in your life. Listen to the first chapter.

Kate Messner discusses The Brilliant Fall of Gianna Z.

Sea Monster\'s First Day

Sea Monster's First Day is the perfect back-to-school read-aloud. I shared it with a group of students who Skyped with Kate. Look for it on July 6, 2011.
