Glory Be is a Backseat Book Club Selection

FIVE FUN FACTS

1. I met Katherine Applegate and Augusta Scattergood on the same day.

2. Children's literature expert Anita Silvey highly recommends Katherine Applegate's The One and Only Ivan and Augusta Scattergood's Glory Be

3. I took The One and Only Ivan (you've read many posts about this) and Glory Be on my 2012 reading road trip.

  2. Great Road Trip...wish I'd been there. Maybe one day my book will get to go on a cool trip to DC.

  3. Loved The One and Only Ivan! And Congrats Katherine on the NPR Backseat Book Club! I had the pleasure of meeting Augusta on the first books panel at the Miami SCBWI conference in 2012. She is as lovely as her book! I am so excited to hear that Glory Be will featured on NPR as well. Way to go Augusta! Mr. Shu - I just got Glory Be for my daughter to read on the plane "across the pond" - on our way to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (that you mention in your next post. :) I'll let you know her thoughts on both :). Cheers!
