Video of the Week: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the Musical

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the Musical officially opened yesterday in London. I spent most of the day trying to find a magical wall/car/book that would take me from Naperville to London in one-tenth of a second. I failed. Sigh.

At least I can watch the following show reel...

Doesn't it look GOOD and MAGICAL and WHIMSICAL and TOTALLY FUN?

  1. YES! Wish I could find a way to get there, too!

  2. I was so excited to see this post in my inbox! We are lucky enough to take an "saved-up air-miles" trip to London this summer and we just got tickets to see this! I was thrilled to see the show reel - it looks fantastic. My favorite lyric from "Pure Imagination" -
    "There is no,
    Life I know
    To compare with
Pure imagination..." - a great description of where books take us!

  4. Oh, I've been saying for YEARS that "Willy Wonka" should be a musical on Broadway, so when I saw this, I smiled, BUT----in my opinion, it's the "Gene Wilder" version that should be done, not the remake. To me, there's simply no comparison.
