Owly
I'm the king of eavesdropping. I can keep track of five different conversations. It comes in handy in restaurants, bookshops, and my school library.
Here’s what I overheard last week in the library:
Student A: Do you want me to help you find a book?
Student B: Sure.
Student A: Mr. Schu, do you think she would like graphic novels?
Mr. Schu: Yes, show her some of your favorites.
Student A: Have you read Owly?
Student B: No.
Student A: Come with me. I’ll show you Owly.
(Mr. Schu gives them their space, but keeps his ear turned toward the graphic novel section.)
Student A: Owly is about an adorable owl that goes on little adventures. He has two friends named Scampy and Wormy. It does not have very many words. I’ve read each book at least three times.
Student B: Thanks. I will check it out.
Thank you, Andy Runton, for getting my students excited about books.

It reminds me of something you would see at Disney World. Thumbs up!
