The Newbery Challenge: The White Stag
The White Stag is a fine example of why I often feel guilty for asking Colby Sharp to co-host the Newbery Challenge with me. Oh, it was a painful reading experience. P-a-i-n-f-u-l! Sorry, Mr. Sharp!

This picture is a little creepy.

Travis Jonker is redoing the cover of every Newbery-winning book. He designed the cover on the right.

Borrow The White Stag (ummm...not that I recommend you read it) from your school or public library. Whenever possible, please support independent bookshops.
Mr. Schu, I enjoy your blog tremendously and get oodles of good book and school library ideas from you. Thank you for sharing your ideas!
ReplyDeleteJust one thing -- do you show the mirror images on purpose (as in the White Stag cover photo above)? If not, and if you use PhotoBooth, there's a Flip option in the Edit menu that reverses the mirror image so viewers can read the words. That would be a very small improvement to an already wonderful blog.
