The Newbery Challenge: Miracles on Maple Hill
In today's Newbery Challenge video, I discuss Miracles on Maple Hill and share ten picture books for Cathy and Mandy's August 10 for 10 event. It's the perfect way to celebrate the power of picture books.

"Every Monday (nay, most Mondays) a Newbery-winning book gets a new cover courtesy of me, a guy who gets a kick out of this sort of thing. If you’d like to see all the covers in one place, click here to check out the Covering the Newbery gallery." -Travis Jonker
Borrow Miracles on Maple Hill from your school or public library. Whenever possible, please support independent bookshops.

Don't you have a signed copy of Hugo?
ReplyDeleteI own a copy of this, I loved it so much! Joe and Beth Krush are my favorite illustrators, so thanks for showing the original cover. Sorenson also wrote one about the Amish- Plain Girl, perhaps? Sigh. Now I want to go and read both of those!
ReplyDelete@Ms. Yingling - Plain Girl sounds interesting.
