One of my favorite memories of the 2012-2013 school year is having a Matilda the Musical sing-a-long with nineteen fourth graders. If you had been a fly hovering over the book nook, it would have been nearly IMPOSSIBLE not to sing along (buzz along?), smile, and laugh. I hope Matilda's brilliant cast and creative team take home many Tonys on Sunday evening. My fingers and toes are crossed for Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull).
Happy watching, singing, and reading!

I can't believe that I didn't know about this book, and then my daughter asked if we could go get it from the library last week. And then I saw this post of yours. I think Matilda is in my life for good now! My daughter read me a few pages from the book the other day and they were simply delightful. I'm going to read it after her :)
ReplyDeleteWe love this book and the movie! We have a NYC trip planned and would love to see the musical but the ticket prices are too dang high for this family of four! Thanks for your videos-it's at least a little taste.
ReplyDeleteJust saw Matilda on Sunday--GREAT! You can go to the box office day of and enter the lottery for a $27 ticket (max 2 per person and only 20 are given away). Google Broadway rush tickets for day of show ticket policies and pricing. Good luck!
