NPR's 100 Must-Reads For Kids 9-14

Travis Jonker (AKA Mr. 100 Scope Notes), Gussie Lewis, Linda Sue Park, Margi Preus, and Rita Williams-Garcia came up with a list of 100 must-read books for  ages 9 to 14. The titles were nominated by the NPR audience and the panelists.

    I've read everything but Sheinkin's Bomb, and only because the public library copy is always out. I was a little surprised that this was so heavy on older books (and sometimes pleasantly surprised by what they included), but it's not a bad list.

    73 but only if you count the first book in the series as having read the book. I have read a good number of 1st books (like Anne of Green Gables) but not the entire series

    I think I've read 58, which makes me think I need to challenge myself to read the whole list! Ms. Yingling - ALL of them except Bomb?! Wow!

    81, but I only counted a series if I had read all of them and I had read a few of the first books in the series. Maybe this will be my next thing, finishing the rest of the list. ;)

    55, some I've read the 1st book in the series, but didn't count that.
