This Holiday, I Pledge to #GiveBooks

I am going to share a fun fact that will shock few people: I LOVE GIVING AWAY BOOKS. I give away at least one book on this blog every week, and I give away multiple books (advanced reader copies, F&Gs, final copies) to my students every week. The act of giving away a book fills my soul with warm, fuzzy feelings. From where I'm sitting right now, I can see a good-sized stack of picture books and novels (mostly signed) that I'll give to my nieces the next time I see them.

  1. YOU? Give away BOOKS?! Why, I AM shocked, John! ;)

I wish I could afford to give more, but B&N always runs a book drive to give to kids who need them. I've given many different ones over the years, but the past few I got into giving Dan Gutman's MISS DAISY IS CRAZY. Love his stuff :) And just today I introduced another book-loving friend to FLORA AND THE FLAMINGO. It's SO thrilling to introduce books! :D

  3. A great selection of books. I want to order them all. I will look for them at AASL in Hartford next week.
