Video of the Month: Katherine Applegate tells the true story of Ivan inher new picture book
I stood next to Anne Hoppe, Newbery Medalist Katherine Applegate's amazing editor, while reading Ivan: The Remarkable True Story of the Shopping Mall Gorilla. Tears streamed down my face. I could not find the right words to express how deeply it touched me. All I could do was hug Anne.
I cannot wait for you to read it later this year. I predict you will cry, too.
