I am beyond honored to welcome Jeff Kinney to Watch. Connect. Read. He dropped by to chat with me about a big orange bus, geocaching, Poptropica, reading, and school libraries. I wrote the words in orange, and he wrote the words in black. Thank you, Jeff!

The cover illustration for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul took a lot of time to develop. It was hard squeezing everything in there! But I think every kid knows what it's like to feel like Greg does in the image.

When I was in middle school I didn't make much of a splash. I was more an observer than a participant.
